Job summary

Building Careers UK Ltd is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee commercial management on major infrastructure, energy and engineering projects. The role involves delivering commercial and contractual guidance across the full project lifecycle and collaborating with clients, project managers and engineers.

The successful candidate will have strong NEC3/NEC4 experience, a background in infrastructure or major projects, and a proactive approach to risk and change control.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with NEC3/NEC4 knowledge.
• Experience on infrastructure, energy, engineering or major capital projects.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Experience with cost reporting, forecasting, change control and valuations.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial and contractual expertise across major infrastructure, energy and engineering projects.
• Manage project costs, budgets and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work within NEC3 and/or NEC4 contract environments.
• Prepare and review cost reports, forecasts and commercial reports.
• Manage change control, variations and compensation events.
• Review applications for payment and assessing valuations.
• Support procurement and the preparation of tender documentation.
• Manage and negotiate subcontractor and supplier accounts.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and advise clients.
