Job summary

Vital Energi is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a growing North West project portfolio. You will work with the Commercial team to manage contract finances and ensure contractual obligations are met on site.

The ideal candidate holds a BSc in Quantity Surveying, MRICS or equivalent, and has solid NEC3/NEC4 knowledge with Options A–E. A UK driving licence is required; experience in construction and M&E sectors is preferred.

Qualifications

• Educated to BSc level in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts (Options A–E).
• MRICS or equivalent professional membership.
• Experience in construction and/or M&E sectors.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial support with site management to identify and administer contractual obligations.
• Vet client documentation for tender compatibility and negotiations.
• Create a Commercial Risk Register for each contract and assist risk mitigation.
• Prepare and issue enquiries, evaluate quotations, negotiate terms, and issue purchase orders.
• Prepare and submit payment applications and certificates; progress client payments.
• Measure variations and claims; assist final accounts.
• Monitor on-site record keeping and issue notices.
• Prepare monthly CVRs and Cash/Spend Profiles; attend Contract Review Meetings.
• Approve and code suppliers' and subcontractors' invoices; liaise with Finance.
• Measure, certify and agree subcontractor valuations and issue notices.
