VINCI Building UK is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery across projects from feasibility to completion, including the Sheffield Forgemasters project valued at circa £20m, with NEC contract knowledge preferred.

You will be part of the wider north east regional team, ensuring procurement, cost control and high-quality delivery while aligning with VINCI Building procedures and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Sub contract & package procurement experience.
• Experience working for a large UK Main Contractor.
• Experience in re-measurement.
• Financial / cost control.
• Appropriate CSCS card.
• Valid driving licence.
• A solid understanding of contract law, in particular NEC forms of contract.
• Reading and accurately interpreting drawings and specifications.

Responsabilités

• Start Up of New Projects
• Procurement: procure materials and off-site services in line with VINCI Building procedures
• Assist with subcontract procurement and evaluate tender returns (time, cost, quality and SHE)
• Develop an understanding of the supply chain to deliver continuous improvement in terms of time, cost, quality and learning
• Assist in the timely preparation of valuations and invoices
• Assist in the settlement of final accounts
• Develop an understanding of cost control and monitoring of subcontract costs
• Contribute to CVR reports, forecasts and robust reporting structures
• Identify risks and opportunities in projects
• Record changes and support value engineering
• Knowledge of programming and sequencing requirements
• Understand contractual relationships and NEC terms
