Job summary

VINCI Building UK is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on projects from feasibility through completion. You will need strong contractual knowledge, ideally NEC forms, to maintain commercial control of work packages.

Working within the Midlands regional team, you’ll ensure procurement, budgeting and quality targets are met while exceeding client expectations. The role emphasizes pre-contract startup, cost control, and robust reporting.

Qualifications

• Sub contract & package procurement experience.
• Experience in re-measurement.
• Financial management and cost control.
• Strong understanding of NEC forms of contract.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Start Up of New Projects: pre-contract management and project startup procedures.
• Procurement: obtain materials and services in line with schedules and VINCI processes; prepare subcontract invitations and evaluate tenders.
• Applications for Payment and Invoicing: prepare valuations and invoices; settle final accounts.
• Cost Control: monitor subcontract costs; manage material wastage reconciliations; optimize plant/equipment usage.
