Job summary

Cadent Gas is seeking a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to manage a portfolio of major infrastructure contracts up to £20m. You will control costs, administer NEC contracts, validate compensation events and deliver cost assurance across multiple project sites with regular site visits.

Based in Slough with hybrid pattern (two days in office, Tuesday and Thursday) and travel across the network, you will mentor an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and help drive continuous improvement of commercial

Qualifications

• A Quantity Surveying degree is essential.
• MRICS qualification is desirable or working towards.
• Experience administering NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Experience in utilities, infrastructure or regulated industries is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage compensation events, commercial change and NEC contract administration.
• Cost control, contract compliance and cost reporting across projects.
• Validate completed works, challenge costs and ensure contractor payments are accurate.
• Site visits and collaboration with stakeholders to keep projects commercially sound.
• Mentor or manage an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and drive process improvements.
