Job summary

Highfield Professional Solutions Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a major Lower Thames Crossing package. The role is a 3-month initial contract with long-term extension likely, based in Grays, Essex, with hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 from home).

The candidate will manage commercial delivery, prepare CVRs and forecasts, administer NEC contracts, and provide support to project teams. UK highway/infrastructure experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Senior QS experience on major highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong NEC3/NEC4 and subcontract-management experience.
• Proven CVR, forecasting, change-control and final-account capability.
• CEMAR or NEC contract-management system experience desirable.
• Degree qualified or equivalent relevant commercial experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure work packages.
• Prepare CVRs, forecasts, cost reports, applications for payment and cash flow.
• Administer NEC contracts, including early warnings, compensation events, notices and change control.
• Manage subcontract procurement, valuations, variations, payments and final accounts.
• Provide commercial support to operational and project-delivery teams.
• Identify commercial risk, opportunity and cost-recovery actions.
