Job summary

Highfield Professional Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a major Lower Thames Crossing package. The role requires NEC knowledge, CVR and cost-reporting proficiency, and experience with subcontract management.

The position is based on a hybrid pattern with 3 days in the office and 2 from home, Grays, Essex. Start ASAP for an initial 3-month contract with extension likely.

Qualifications

• Senior QS experience on major highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong NEC3/NEC4 and subcontract-management experience.
• Proven CVR, forecasting, change-control and final-account capability.
• CEMAR or similar NEC contract-management system experience desirable.
• Degree qualified or equivalent relevant commercial experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure work packages.
• Prepare CVRs, forecasts, cost reports, applications for payment and cash flow.
• Administer NEC contracts, including early warnings, compensation events, notices and change control.
• Manage subcontract procurement, valuations, variations, payments and final accounts.
• Provide commercial support to operational and project-delivery teams.
• Identify commercial risk, opportunity and cost-recovery actions.
