Job summary

Berkshire Talent Partnership is recruiting a Project Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major £100m renewable energy infrastructure project in the South West. Reporting to the Commercial Lead, you will manage the commercial performance on site, ensuring contractual obligations are met, risks are managed, and objectives are delivered to time and budget.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong NEC4 contracts knowledge and practical application.
• Experience managing subcontract packages, change management and commercial reporting.
• Excellent commercial awareness and contractual understanding.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and able to operate in a fast-paced site environment.
• Degree in QS/Commercial Management; professional membership advantages.

Responsibilities

• Administration and management of NEC4 contracts.
• Management of compensation events, early warnings and change control processes.
• Preparation and evaluation of applications for payment.
• Cost management, forecasting and budget control.
• Preparation of monthly commercial reports and project dashboards.
• Assessment and agreement of subcontract accounts.
• Management of variations, claims and contractual notices.
• Identification and mitigation of commercial and contractual risks.
• Support procurement and subcontractor management activities.
• Work closely with project and construction teams to achieve commercial objectives.
• Preparation and negotiation of final accounts.
• Maintain robust project records for entitlement and governance.
