Rogers McHugh is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Major Contracts team in a role that spans cost, contract, and commercial management across high-value projects. The position offers hybrid working with national travel, delivering profitability and client satisfaction from inception to completion.

You will manage cost control, procurement, contract management, and commercial reporting, while coordinating with internal departments to ensure accurate final accounts and successful

Competenze

• Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
• Ideally 10+ years of QS experience in construction.
• High-level numeracy and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Excel and IT systems.
• Strong commercial awareness and decision-making abilities.
• Effective negotiation and communication with stakeholders.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• Collaborative and aligned with the company culture.
• Full UK driving licence.

Mansioni

• Take briefing notes from clients to support pricing.
• Support collaboration across departments within QS team.
• Take off drawings and produce Bills of Quantities/Scopes of Works.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier procurement and cost analysis.
• Maintain and update procurement tracker.
• Conduct site visits and project meetings.
• Negotiate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Identify variations and agree per contract terms.
• Prepare and submit valuations on time.
• Monitor profitability and value engineering.
• Close out waste gaps and provide CVR reporting.
• Lead project costing from concept to final account.
