Job summary

Caval Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing construction team. You will assume commercial responsibility across projects from pre-construction through final account, ensuring robust financial control and strong commercial performance.

You will manage budgets, valuations, variations, subcontractor payments, and final accounts, while collaborating with project managers, clients, and suppliers to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, cost management and commercial processes.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Commercially driven with strong attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Relevant QS qualification or significant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of multiple construction projects.
• Prepare and manage budgets, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and accounts.
• Monitor project costs, forecasts, cash flow and profitability.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Review contracts and provide commercial advice to the project team.
• Work closely with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Provide clear commercial reporting to senior management.
