Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a leading principal contractor in the UK construction sector. The role offers ownership of the commercial function and mentorship of a junior QS team, with direct access to senior leadership.

You will manage CVRs, cost reporting and the day-to-day commercial oversight on live projects, while mentoring the wider team and developing strong client relationships. Office-based with a strong forward pipeline across sectors.

Qualifications

• Proven Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in commercial management.
• Experience delivering shop fit, extensions, or healthcare projects is preferred.
• Confident leading a junior QS team and owning CVRs.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of CVRs, cost reporting and commercial management on live projects.
• Head up the commercial team and mentor junior QSs.
• Manage commercial performance from award to final account across projects.
• Prepare, submit and agree interim valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Oversee procurement, administration and payment processes and cash flow analysis.
