Job summary

WSP UK is seeking a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor/Cost & Commercial Manager to shape large-scale projects. You will contribute to pre- and post-contract cost management, leading teams and mentoring staff while delivering cost control and value across civil infrastructure assignments.

The role offers collaboration across multiple sectors, client-facing responsibilities, and opportunities to engage in industry events as part of a global professional services firm.

Qualifications

• MRICS or Assoc RICS or working towards a professional qualification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge around QS/Cost and Commercial competencies.
• Where applicable, have demonstrable management and senior-level delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-contract QS/Cost & Commercial Management services to clients, including estimating, cost planning, procurement, cost assurance and post-contract financial management.
• Depending on seniority, lead QS/commercial or infrastructure projects and teams; mentor staff; bid writing and winning work.
• Represent WSP UK at industry events and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Civil Infrastructure and Utilities.
