Job summary

VolkerStevin is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor for the Warrington/Macclesfield area. You will report to the Commercial Manager and lead the commercial team on delivery, handling tender assessments, procurement scheduling and P&L forecasts.

You will oversee subcontract administration, support dispute mitigation, and ensure packages stay within budget. Client-facing discussions on changes or disputes and cash-flow/final-account forecasting are key responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Essential: quantity-surveying degree.
• Professional accreditation and relevant technical qualification routes listed.
• Experience as a surveyor in construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and contractual work on assigned projects.
• Manage the commercial team supporting delivery.
• Oversee tender assessment, procurement scheduling and P&L forecasts.
• Discuss changes or disputes with clients and provide forecasts.
• Let packages within budget and support dispute mitigation.
• Manage warranties, guarantees, bonds and subcontract administration.
• Obtain signed final accounts and review contracts at project close.
