Millbank Holdings Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery on multiple infrastructure projects across Scotland. The role supports post-award commercial management, cost control and NEC contract compliance in a hybrid working environment.

The candidate will handle budgets, valuations, CVRs and subcontract management while advising project teams on commercial strategy and risk. This long-term freelance opportunity offers varied schemes and stakeholder exposure.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or related discipline.
• Proven experience as a QS/Senior QS in civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities or water.
• Strong NEC3/NEC4 contract knowledge.
• Experience managing subcontract procurement, valuations, compensation events, variations and final accounts.
• Experience producing CVRs, forecasts and monthly commercial reporting.

Responsabilités

• Take commercial responsibility for multiple civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Manage budgets, cost forecasting, cashflow and commercial reporting.
• Prepare, submit and negotiate applications for payment and valuations.
• Identify and manage compensation events, variations and change control processes.
• Procure and manage subcontract packages, including payments and final accounts.
• Produce monthly CVRs and commercial performance reports.
• Monitor project costs and ensure contractual/financial targets are met.
• Provide commercial guidance to project managers and site delivery teams.
• Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier agreements.
• Support risk management, cost control and commercial strategy.
• Assist with tender reviews and pre-construction input.
