Job summary

ERSG Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a freelance basis for a major infrastructure programme in Glasgow. The role requires ownership of commercial delivery, cost control and contract management across large packages, with a hybrid working pattern.

The successful candidate will lead cost forecasting, manage variations and risk, and work closely with project teams and stakeholders to drive commercial performance in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Background in infrastructure, engineering or major construction.
• Strong commercial and contract management experience.
• Experience managing change, cost and risk.
• Excellent stakeholder and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and contractual activities across allocated projects/packages.
• Lead cost control, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Manage variations, change and commercial risk.
• Prepare and negotiate contracts and subcontracts.
• Manage subcontractor and supply chain relationships.
• Support commercial governance and project reporting.
• Work closely with project teams and key stakeholders.
