Job summary

Millbank is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial leadership across major infrastructure programmes. You will administer NEC contracts, manage compensation events, and oversee budgeting, forecasts, and final accounts while coordinating with delivery, planning and procurement teams.

You will lead a commercial team, mentor junior staff, and drive cost control, risk mitigation and governance across projects to maximise value and ensure contractual compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related field or equivalent experience.
• Seniority as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on infrastructure/engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and compensation events.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting and cash flow.
• Experience leading and mentoring commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial and cost management activities for assigned work packages.
• Prepare, manage and report project budgets, cost forecasts and cash flow profiles.
• Administer NEC contracts, including compensation events and change control.
• Manage valuations, interim applications, variations and final accounts.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Lead procurement activities, including tendering and subcontract management.
• Provide cost assurance and commercial governance across projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning and project controls teams.
