Job summary

FERROVIAL CONSTRUCTION (UK) LIMITED seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities on the HS2 Track contract. The role demands strong NEC3/NEC4 contract experience, robust cost control, and the ability to coordinate with project teams across UK offices.

You will be based initially at the HS2 project team office near Euston with potential relocation to other project sites as the project develops, managing subcontract accounts and supporting monthly reporting and cost control.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor within large-scale projects.
• Ability to establish collaborative relationships with clients, PMs and design teams.
• Willing to work across multiple UK project offices.
• Competent in Microsoft Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Administrate NEC3 & NEC4 forms of contract.
• Manage subcontract accounts.
• Support the Commercial Manager and lead the commercial team.
• Maintain records and support audit processes.
• Administer risk and opportunities management.
• Support contract reviews and monthly reporting.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering and client teams.
• Produce KPI evidence documentation.
• Prepare monthly cost, forecast and budget reports.
• Maintain cost control and support change control.
• Assist procurement with tenders and subcontract documentation.
• Manage subcontracts from order to final account.
• Maintain registers of variations, delays and claims.
