Job summary

Ferrovial Construction in Birmingham is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the Track North Commercial Team. You will help manage commercial activities for the HS2 Track North portfolio, ensuring cost control, forecast accuracy and robust reporting on a high-profile infrastructure project.

The role requires a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related field, plus experience in contract administration and commercial management within construction or infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in quantity surveying or commercial management within construction, engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of contract administration, cost management and commercial reporting.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial management of the Track North portfolio, including cost control, forecasting and reporting.
• Administer the main contract and supply chain agreements in accordance with contractual and governance requirements.
• Manage commercial change, including compensation events, variations and value recovery activities.
• Support procurement activities, tender evaluations and subcontract management.
• Assess applications for payment and maintain accurate commercial records.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities, providing clear advice to project stakeholders.
• Build effective working relationships with project teams, clients and supply chain partners whilst protecting the JV's commercial position.
