Job summary

Egis is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the HS2 gateway station project at Old Oak Common, London. You will apply pre and post-contract management, procurements, and value engineering within the UK rail sector.

The role requires three days in the office, strong cost control, and collaboration with the project team. You will lead subcontractor accounts, manage contractual entitlements, and support governance with robust reporting.

Qualifications

• Site presence and co-location minimum 3 days a week.
• Energy and enthusiasm.
• Experience in controlling costs for self delivery works.
• Ability to contribute to project financial monitoring and reporting.
• Experience in proactive project change and risk management.
• Able to prioritise the delivery of the objectives of their role.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• NEC3/4 Option C Contract management and administration.
• Establish and manage entitlement, focusing on full entitlement under subcontract terms.
• Lead review and valuation of contractor payment applications per contract terms.
• Manage Subcontractor Accounts.
• Liaise and negotiate with Customer’s Commercial/project team.
• Maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure commercial records align with contract requirements and address issues.
• Draft contract communications including Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events.
• Provide contractual/commercial risk advice to teams.
• Monitor and report on commercial/cost reporting for projects and portfolios.
• Support programme teams to ensure compliance with contract and governance.
