Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Construction team based in Stansted, Essex. The role involves managing commercial resources to maximise gross margin, appointing contractors, and ensuring cash flow through accurate valuation of work and cost control.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, support project variations and work closely with customers, contractors and subcontractors across education, health, defence and aviation sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior quantity surveying role.
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial resources to maximise project profitability.
• Appoint contractors and subcontractors and place orders for materials and plant.
• Measure and value work to support invoicing and payments.
• Lead and motivate the project's commercial staff to ensure collaboration.
• Assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks across the project.
