Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Water Treatment Works Upgrade team based in Wisley STW, Surrey. The role focuses on commercial management within a construction phase project, working with a supportive team to deliver on time and on budget.

Experience in civil contractor roles and familiarity with various contract forms are valued as you lead and mentor junior staff while driving margin improvements in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• You hold demonstrable experience working in a commercial role for a contractor, ideally with Civils exposure.
• You have experience with a variety of contract forms.
• You enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with the project's procurement strategy, including subcontract inquiries and tender reviews.
• Managing valuations, project cashflows, and turnover forecasts, including monthly cost reports and progress records.
• Providing legal and contractual advice on orders and changes, handling notices and subcontractor administration.
• Driving commercial initiatives, producing margin improvement plans and supporting team members in maximizing opportunities.
• Leading and managing junior staff, ensuring workload targets, deadlines, and commercial tasks are met.
