Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Environment Agency Collaborative Delivery Framework team based in Kenwith. The role involves managing cost, value and contractual arrangements for Kier across projects and building strong client relationships.

You will handle budgets, cost plans, procurement, contract terms, and payments, with a focus on NEC4 contracts and risk management. The environment promotes collaboration and practical, hands-on delivery.

Qualifications

• You have excellent numeracy and financial management skills with a strong understanding of cost control processes.
• You have experience with standard forms of contracts, particularly NEC4 forms.
• You understand commercial risk and how to manage and notify this as part of commercial management.
• You have strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client expectations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Preparing project budgets, developing cost plans, and managing applications for payment, CVR and forecasting.
• Managing the procurement process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and helping select contractors and subcontractors.
• Negotiating contract terms to ensure they are favourable, equitable and protect Kier from commercial risk.
• Managing large and complex subcontractor packages, including assessing submissions, valuing completed work and arranging payments.
• Identifying and assessing the impact of changes and compensation events, including producing contractual notifications.
