Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Construction team in Stansted, Essex. You will manage commercial resources, maximise margins, and support cash flow through diligent valuation and contract management.

You will build strong relationships with customers, contractors and subcontractors on major regional projects. Responsibilities include leading commercial staff, placing orders, measuring work for invoicing, and mitigating contractual risks while delivering on education,

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Experience in a similar Senior Quantity Surveyor role.
• Proficient with MS Office and bespoke systems used on projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial resources to maximise gross margin and project profitability.
• Appoint contractors/subcontractors and place orders for materials and plant.
• Measure and value work to support invoicing and payments.
• Lead the project's commercial staff to ensure collaborative working relationships.
• Assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks across the project.
