Job summary

Turner & Townsend is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager / Commercial Manager for its Energy and Natural Resources sector in the UK. You will lead commercial activities, manage contracts, and monitor costs across major energy projects, ensuring governance and value engineering are applied.

The role requires NEC3/4 or FIDIC experience, a degree or HNC, and proven cost management on energy/infrastructure programmes.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC level qualification is required.
• Experience with NEC3/4 or FIDIC contracts is preferred.
• Cost / commercial management experience on energy or infrastructure projects is essential.
• Experience on major programmes or project portfolios is desirable.
• Professional Chartership is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute work effectively, identify value opportunities, escalate when needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients, maintain professional relationships and drive value.
• Communicate clearly, support productive workflows and address challenges professionally.
• Administer and manage contracts, monitor costs, forecast, report, and control variances and cashflow.
• Work with client and contractor teams to deliver KPIs, programme performance and cost control.
• Provide sound commercial leadership, improve forecast accuracy, and agree final accounts timely.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to internal knowledge management.
