Job summary

Turner & Townsend is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager to join our Energy & Natural Resources team in the UK. You will lead cost control, commercial governance, and performance reporting on major energy and infrastructure programmes.

You will take ownership of forecasts, change management, and final accounts, while collaborating with clients and contractor teams to meet KPIs and value engineering targets. A degree (or HNC) and chartership are preferable.

Qualifications

• Experience on energy or infrastructure projects such as nuclear, renewables, transmission, water or rail.
• Ownership of performance, cost monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Strong collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven track record on major programmes or project portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of performance and quality, applying strong analytical and problem‑solving skills while delivering outputs.
• Plan and execute work effectively, identifying opportunities to add value and escalating when needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients, maintaining professional relationships.
• Administer and manage contracts, ensuring accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and cashflow control.
• Work with client and contractor teams to deliver KPIs, programme performance and value engineering.
• Provide commercial leadership and timely final accounts, plus lessons learned for internal improvements.
