Job summary

Galliford Try is hiring a Quantity Surveyor for its Exeter operations. You will help measure and value works on site and from drawings, manage subcontract payments, and prepare final accounts across multiple sites in the South West.

The role requires strong knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts, ability to work independently, and a relevant degree with membership potential in RICS or IOB. Travel across regional sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in main contractor environment, preferably Design and Build.
• Knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts and their application.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyse tender allowances and measure/valve works on site or from drawings.
• Administer main/subcontract conditions and procurement.
• Handle subcontract payments, variations and final accounts.
• Prepare cost-to-complete and cash flow forecasts.
• Produce standard reports and CVRs aligned to accounting deadlines.

Skills

Construction industry experience

Design and Build knowledge

JCT and NEC familiarity

Education

Degree qualified

RICS or IOB membership (or pursuing)
