Job summary

Galliford Try's Building London South East team is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in London, with regional travel required. The role takes responsibility for commercial delivery throughout a project's lifecycle, starting at tender and continuing to final account. The senior surveyor will administer subcontract packages, assess interim amounts and manage subsequent changes.

Other duties include issuing commercial notices and leading the identification and treatment of commercial risk. Monthly reporting includes presenting cost-value reconciliations. The post requires detailed cost plans covering expenditure, forecasts and subcontract liabilities, supported by Oracle cost analysis.

It also includes responsibility for managing and developing junior surveyors within the operating unit. The employer requests a relevant degree, appropriate commercial experience, or both, together with suitable CSCS status. Applicants should understand standard contract forms and have experience using CEMAR, Oracle or similar contractual and cost-management systems.
