Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based in or around the South Coast, with flexibility to travel between regional sites and projects. The role is full-time and requires experience with design and build, JCT and NEC contracts, and professional membership or progression towards it.

The successful candidate will analyse tender allowances, measure and value works from drawings, and support valuations, variations and final accounts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Membership of RICS or IOB, or progress towards membership.
• Experience with main-contract construction, design and build.
• Knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Analyse tender allowances and measure/ value works from drawings and on site.
• Prepare interim valuations and submit to timetable.
• Agree valuation dates and support valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Advise on terms of main contracts and subcontracts.
• Cost-value reconciliations and cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Cover design and subcontract procurement, payments, and variations.
