Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team on a major data centre development. The role involves taking commercial ownership of a large enabling works package and working with the project team to ensure commercial success from procurement through final account.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or major construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Experience managing complex subcontract packages.
• Excellent commercial and contractual awareness.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced project environment.
• Experience on infrastructure, enabling works, earthworks, groundworks or large-scale construction projects would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial ownership of a substantial package of works from procurement through final account.
• Administer NEC contracts and manage contractual obligations.
• Procurement and management of subcontractors.
• Prepare and agree valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and CVRs.
• Manage change control and compensation events.
• Build strong relationships with internal and client teams.
• Support and mentor junior commercial staff where required.
