Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of high-value projects in the Swanley area. The role requires experience with JCT contracts and a strong track record in a main contractor environment.

You will manage budgets, cost reporting and final accounts, while coordinating with project managers, subcontractors and clients to protect margins and deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in main contractor environments.
• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial processes.
• Ability to take ownership of projects from pre-construction through final account.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial ownership of allocated projects from pre-construction through to completion and final account.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost reporting and financial performance.
• Administer contracts in accordance with agreed terms, with emphasis on JCT forms of contract.
• Prepare, review and manage applications for payment, valuations, variations and change.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage the procurement and commercial administration of subcontract packages.
• Review subcontractor applications, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Manage contractual notices, extensions of time and other relevant commercial matters.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and provide accurate financial forecasts.
• Support the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
• Assist with the resolution of commercial and contractual disputes where required.
• Contribute to improving commercial processes and maintaining strong commercial controls across projects.
