Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a respected main contractor based in Woking. Projects range up to £10m across motor retail, education, commercial and leisure, using JCT forms of contract.

You will manage projects from pre-construction to final account, lead a commercial team, oversee procurement, and mentor juniors. Requirements include a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC and the right to work in the UK; salary up to £80k with a solid pipeline

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a highly respected main contractor based in Woking. The business operates across several sectors including motor retail, public and private education, commercial and leisure valuing typically up to £10mil. Projects are a mix of new build and refurb and are typically administered via JCT forms of contract.

As a result of organic growth, they're now looking to expand the commercial team with a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects fom pre-construction through to final account. You will be reporting into the Surveying Director.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

• Work alongside pre-construction team on any 2-stage tenders


• Oversee the teams procurement / management of sub-contractor packages


• Deal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may arise


• Liaise with the clients teams


• Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development

Key Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:

• Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC


• Have experience managing projects from pre-construction through to final account


• Be proficient in administering various forms of contract including JCT and NEC


• Must live in a commutable location to Woking


• Must have the full right to work in the UK
