Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a respected main contractor in the Woking area. You will oversee pre-construction through final account on projects up to £10m, spanning new build and refurbishment across multiple sectors.

You will lead a surveying team, manage procurement, final accounts and client liaison, and mentor juniors. A BSc QS or HNC, JCT/NEC experience, and UK right to work are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC.
• Experience managing projects from pre-construction through to final account.
• Proficient in administering JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• Must live within a commutable distance to Woking.
• Must have the full right to work in the UK.

Senior Quantity Surveyor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a highly respected main contractor based in Woking. The business operates across several sectors including motor retail, public and private education, commercial and leisure valuing typically up to £10mil. Projects are a mix of new build and refurb and are typically administered via JCT forms of contract. As a result of organic growth, they're now looking to expand the commercial team with a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects fom pre-construction through to final account. You will be reporting into the Surveying Director.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

• Work alongside pre-construction team on any 2-stage tenders
• Oversee the teams procurement / management of sub-contractor packages
• Deal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may arise
• Liaise with the clients teams
• Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development

Key Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:

• Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC
• Have experience managing projects from pre-construction through to final account
• Be proficient in administering various forms of contract including JCT and NEC
• Must live in a commutable location to Woking
• Must have the full right to work in the UK
