Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a 12-month contract in Hampshire. This full-time role involves managing procurement strategies, budgeting and final account settlements, and ensuring robust cost control across civil engineering projects.

The successful candidate will demonstrate high technical and professional standards and will oversee the delivery and cost outcomes of individual projects and programmes of work on an ongoing contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Implementing procurement strategies, including Frameworks and NEC4 arrangements (Options A-E of NEC4 ECC, early contractor involvement).
• Establishing and determining budgets in conjunction with the client/project manager and determine contractor entitlements leading to the settlement of the Final Account.
• Ensuring the effective cost control of civil engineering construction and maintenance projects.
• Demonstrate and maintain the highest levels of technical and professional competence.
• Managing the delivery and cost outcomes of individual projects and programmes of work.
