Job summary

Adeptus Talent Limited is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the Hampshire/Winchester area to lead pre- and post-contract activities and manage cost control across projects.

The role involves cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and strong client-facing communication to support project delivery and future opportunities. A solid background in JCT contracts and NEC experience is desirable.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 DOE

The Role

• Full pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying
• Cost planning, estimating and budgeting
• Procurement and tender management
• Preparation and assessment of tender documentation
• Contract administration
• Interim valuations and payment recommendations
• Change control and variation management
• Cost reporting and forecasting
• Final accounts
• JCT contract administration
• Working with NEC contracts where applicable
• Managing client and stakeholder relationships
• Providing commercial advice throughout project delivery
• Supporting junior members of the team
• Contributing to client relationships and future opportunities

About You

• Previous experience within a Quantity Surveying / Cost Consultancy environment
• Strong pre and post-contract experience
• Good commercial and cost management knowledge
• Experience working with JCT contracts
• NEC experience advantageous
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage projects and workload
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred
• MRICS/Chartered status advantageous, although candidates working towards chartership will also be considered
