Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Didcot project. You will be involved in managing costs, budgets and contracts to support timely delivery within budget while collaborating with the wider project team.

The role requires an accredited QS background with experience at a Tier 1 contractor and a solid understanding of construction management and governance. An opportunity to contribute to high-profile civil engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), CIOB or ICES.
• Adequate experience as a Project QS from a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
• Knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
• Able to work under pressure and use initiative effectively.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team working on our project in Didcot.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is an important part of the project team and helps make sure projects are managed well from a commercial point of view. This role involves managing costs, budgets, and contracts, supporting the team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

About you

• An accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES).
• Adequate experience as a Project QS from a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
• Knowledge and understanding of construction management, construction and sustainable construction techniques.
• Able to work under pressure
• Effective use of Initiative
