Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick, part of VolkerWessels UK, is recruiting a Managing Quantity Surveyor for a civils project in Cockfosters, London. You’ll take a lead role within the commercial function, managing a team of Quantity Surveyors and overseeing the commercial delivery of significant civils packages on the project.

We have a superb opportunity for a Manging Quantity Surveyor to join our team working on our project at Cockfosters, London.

As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take a lead role within the commercial function, managing a team of Quantity Surveyors and overseeing the commercial delivery of significant civils packages on the project.

About you

• An accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES).
• Solid experience as a SQS/MQS from a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
• Excellent commercial and contractual understanding.
• Strong NEC experience, including change and claims management.
• Previous experience managing and developing a commercial team.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
