Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Aviation team on a project at Stansted Airport. The role focuses on managing costs, budgets and contracts to ensure delivery on time and within budget.

The candidate should possess an RICS/CIOB/ICES accredited course, with extensive experience as a Project QS from a Tier 1 main contractor, and a strong grasp of construction management and sustainable practices.

We are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Aviation team working on our project at Stansted Airport.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is an important part of the project team and helps make sure projects are managed well from a commercial point of view. This role involves managing costs, budgets, and contracts, supporting the team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

About you

• An accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES).
• Adequate experience as a Project QS from a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
• Knowledge and understanding of construction management, construction and sustainable construction techniques.
• Able to work under pressure
• Effective use of Initiative
