Job summary

VolkerWessels UK is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Aviation team on a Stansted Airport project. You will take responsibility for cost control, budgets and contract administration to ensure delivery within commercial targets.

The role demands experience as a Project QS from a Tier 1 main contractor, with strong communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure while supporting the project team.

Qualifications

• Accredited by RICS, CIOB or ICES with professional recognition.
• Experience as a Project QS from a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
• Knowledge of construction management and sustainable techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage costs, budgets and contracts for the project.
• Support the team to deliver on time and within budget.
• Contribute to commercial governance and reporting for Stansted Airport works.

We are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Aviation team working on our project at Stansted Airport.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is an important part of the project team and helps make sure projects are managed well from a commercial point of view. This role involves managing costs, budgets, and contracts, supporting the team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

About You

• An accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES).
• Adequate experience as a Project QS from a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
• Knowledge and understanding of construction management, construction and sustainable construction techniques.
• Good communicator
• Able to work under pressure
• Effective use of Initiative
