Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick, part of VolkerWessels UK, seeks a Project Quantity Surveyor to lead on-site commercial activity and optimise project value and cash flow. You will support contractual matters, manage costs, and work with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver profitably and to high standards.

You should have accredited RICS/CIOB/ICES training, experience with NEC3 Option A and JCT contracts, and a proven ability to lead teams under pressure while using initiative.

Job description

As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in driving commercial success, maximising project value and cash flow while building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Acting as the commercial lead on site, you'll provide expert support on contractual and commercial matters, manage costs and project performance, identify risks and opportunities, and help ensure projects are delivered profitably, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

About You

• Relevant experience working in Build
• An accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES).
• Experience of onsite measures
• NEC3 Option A form of contract and subcontract conditions
• JCT Design & Build and JCT Standard Building Contract experience
• Managing others
• Knowledge and understanding of construction management, construction and sustainable construction techniques.
• Good communicator
• Able to work under pressure
• Effective use of Initiative
