Job summary

Sphere Solutions Ltd in Basingstoke is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial delivery of high-end residential projects on site.

You will control budgets, prepare cost reports and CVRs, and lead subcontractor procurement, valuations and final accounts to protect margin across the project lifecycle.

A prime residential or luxury residential background and the ability to work closely with clients, project teams and suppliers are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
• Strong background in prime residential, luxury residential or high-end construction.
• Experience delivering bespoke new-build homes, high-end refurbishments or extensions.
• Strong knowledge of subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, cost control and final accounts.
• Based within a commutable distance of Basingstoke.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial delivery of high-end residential projects from pre-construction through to completion
• Managing project budgets, cost reports, forecasts and CVRs
• Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and commercial negotiations
• Managing subcontractor valuations, payments, variations and final accounts
• Managing client valuations and applications for payment
• Monitoring costs against budget and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Managing variations, change control, EOTs and Loss & Expense
• Supporting pre-construction activities, including cost planning and procurement
• Working closely with clients, Project Managers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Providing commercial support throughout the project lifecycle through to final account and completion
