Job summary

Vickerstock are exclusive to a leading engineering and manufacturing business seeking a Quality Manager in the Mid Tyrone area. You will lead a growing quality team and drive the development of the QMS to ensure ISO 9001 compliance across manufacturing processes.

The role reports to the Operations Director and focuses on prevention, supplier quality, and continuous improvement within a heavy engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Senior Quality Engineering or Quality Management experience in metal manufacturing.
• Experience leading and directing quality personnel.
• Hands-on management of a Quality Management System (QMS).
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and root cause analysis.
• Cross-functional collaboration across Production, Engineering and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Own the Quality Management System and ISO 9001 compliance.
• Lead and develop the quality team across manufacturing operation.
• Manage quality across supplier to final product.
• Develop and improve quality procedures, control plans and work instructions.
• Establish and monitor quality KPIs and drive improvement.
• Lead supplier quality performance and corrective actions.
• Lead root cause investigations using 8D, A3, Fishbone, PFMEA and SPC.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Procurement to reduce defects.
• Drive Continuous Improvement and Kaizen activities.
• Translate customer and warranty feedback into improvements.
