Job summary

Vickerstock is working with an established Northern Ireland engineering and manufacturing business to appoint a Senior Quality Manager. This is a senior, hands-on quality leadership role with responsibility for a team of six and overall ownership of the Quality Management System across the operation.

The successful candidate will lead the Quality team while collaborating with Production, Engineering and senior management to improve product quality, manufacturing processes and the broader Quality

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience within Quality Management.
• Strong Quality experience within engineering/manufacturing.
• Experience managing and developing Quality personnel.
• Proven experience managing and improving a Quality Management System.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing quality and Continuous Improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop an established team of six Quality personnel
• Take ownership of the Quality Management System
• Develop and improve quality processes, procedures and standards
• Drive improvements in manufacturing and product quality
• Lead quality audits and support continued compliance
• Oversee root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Manage significant customer and supplier quality issues
• Monitor quality performance and use data to drive improvement
• Work closely with Production and Engineering to resolve manufacturing issues
• Develop a proactive Quality and Continuous Improvement culture across the operation
