Job summary

Vickerstock are recruiting a Quality Manager for their Northern Ireland operations. This senior role leads a six-strong Quality team, owns the Quality Management System, and partners with Engineering and Production to improve product and process quality.

Based at one NI site with occasional travel to nearby sites, you will drive continuous improvement, audits, supplier and customer quality, and contribute to quality strategy, with a generous salary and pension.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in Quality Management within engineering or manufacturing
• Experience managing and improving a Quality Management System (QMS)
• Formal Engineering/Manufacturing/Quality qualification advantageous

Company and Role of Quality Manager

Vickerstock are working exclusively with an established and growing engineering and manufacturing business in the recruitment of a Quality Manager for their local Northern Ireland operations.

This is a significant senior Quality appointment with responsibility for leading an established team of six Quality personnel and taking ownership of the continued development of Quality across the business. The position will be predominantly based at one of the company's Northern Ireland operations, with occasional travel to other very local sites. You will have responsibility for the Quality function, combining people leadership with Quality Systems, manufacturing quality, customer requirements and Continuous Improvement.

This is very much a manufacturing-focused Quality position, working closely with Engineering and Production to improve product and process quality. The opportunity would particularly suit an experienced Quality Manager who enjoys being close to manufacturing and wants the autonomy to develop people, improve systems and make a genuine impact on operational performance.

Essential Criteria for this Quality Manager position

• Strong Quality Management experience (Minimum 3 years in Quality Management) within an engineering or manufacturing environment - Ideally Metal fabrication and assembly
• Experience managing and improving a Quality Management System (QMS)
• A formal Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality qualification would be advantageous, although strong relevant industry experience will also be considered.

We are particularly interested in speaking with Quality Managers and Senior Quality Managers. Strong Quality Systems Managers, Quality Engineering Managers or Lead Quality Engineers with significant team leadership and QMS responsibility who are ready for greater responsibility will also be considered.
