Job summary

Veygo, backed by Admiral Group, is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to lead quality in a cross‑functional squad, combining hands‑on testing with advanced test automation and scalable systems. You’ll work with Product, Design and Engineering to shape solutions that enhance the customer experience.

You’ll bring extensive automation experience, own testing strategy end‑to‑end, and mentor others while building reliable frameworks across web, mobile, APIs and backend services.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in software development in test or software engineering with a focus on automation.
• Experience with test automation frameworks: Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Espresso, XCUITest or WebdriverIO.
• Experience writing clean, maintainable test automation in TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience testing native Android and iOS apps across devices and OS versions.
• Understanding of testing journeys across web, mobile, backend services and third‑party integrations.
• Experience with cloud device testing platforms such as BrowserStack.
• Strong CI/CD experience and how automated testing supports reliable releases.
• Ability to influence technical decisions and bring quality early in development.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools like Claude Code or Cursor.
• Clear communication and willingness to share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own squad’s testing strategy end‑to‑end, balancing risk, coverage, speed and release confidence.
• Stay hands‑on, explore journeys, investigate issues and test changes alongside automation.
• Build reliable automation, design and maintain frameworks across web, mobile, APIs and system journeys.
• Improve delivery feedback by integrating tests into CI/CD and maintaining test suites.
• Bring quality into discovery by shaping requirements and influencing architecture.
• Make quality a shared responsibility with Product, Design and Engineering teams.
• Raise standards by mentoring QAs and engineers and refining processes.
• Develop our use of AI by using AI-assisted tools to improve testing.
