Job summary

Content Guru is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead automated testing efforts at our Bracknell head office. You will stay hands-on across QA disciplines, mentor teammates and drive improvements in automation, tooling and testing methodologies.

This is a senior, hands-on role focused on quality and technical capability. You will collaborate with Applications, Change Engineers and Product teams to plan testing activities, expand coverage, and ensure timely releases while

Qualifications

• Significant experience in software Quality Assurance or software testing.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, developing and maintaining automated tests.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, processes and testing practices.
• Experience improving automated test coverage and identifying opportunities for further automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience investigating complex software defects.
• Ability to coach, mentor and provide technical guidance to other QA Engineers.
• Able to produce clear and comprehensive test plans, test cases and reports.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Technical degree or ISTQB/ISEB qualification advantageous.
• Experience with usability, performance or security testing and SQL databases is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and expansion of automated testing.
• Design, develop and maintain effective automated test suites.
• Identify opportunities to increase automated test coverage and reduce repetitive manual testing.
• Review and improve testing tools and approaches to increase efficiency and reliability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Plan and coordinate testing activities in line with release requirements.
• Perform manual, regression, usability and other testing as required.
• Identify, document and track defects through to resolution; investigate issues with the Applications team.
• Provide technical guidance to QA Engineers and coach colleagues in automation and QA best practice.
• Share knowledge and support standardized QA processes across the team.
• Track testing metrics and drive continuous improvements.
