Job summary

StarRez is seeking a Senior Quality Analyst to elevate quality practices across customer-facing event management workflows, booking experiences, and system integrations. You will be a hands-on individual contributor and quality champion, partnering with product, design, and engineering to define acceptance criteria and risk-based test scenarios.

This role focuses on customer experience, non-functional requirements, test automation, and release quality gates, with mentoring built-in as you guide

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software or quality engineering for complex distributed systems.
• Ability to translate customer needs into user stories, acceptance criteria and risk-based tests.
• Proven track record advocating for quality and influencing technical direction.
• Experience with web products, APIs and integration testing.
• Experience building test automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Buildkite or similar).
• Ability to deploy quality gates and drive early validation and observability.
• Excellent verbal and written technical communication with stakeholders.
• Curiosity about product architecture, user flows, analytics, and business impact.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive end-to-end quality for the BPSA product team.
• Establish quality gates and fast feedback throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Design and execute validation strategies for feature initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering to ensure acceptance criteria reflect real customer operations.
• Mentor developers and product partners on testing principles and acceptance criteria.
• Design quality solutions in ambiguity with evidence-based approaches.
• Champion test automation standards and coach engineers in automated testing.
• Apply AI techniques to improve product quality and efficiency.
• Own production defect triage and drive preventative quality improvements.
