Job summary

StarCompliance is seeking a Platform Quality Engineer to own integration and API-level testing across a cloud-native SaaS platform. You’ll validate asynchronous workflows, resiliency, and performance while collaborating with Product and engineering teams to ensure release readiness.

The role emphasizes testing failure modes, scalability, and observability, with hands-on coding in C#, TypeScript, or Python and experience using cloud messaging technologies like Azure Service Bus or Kafka.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Experience with integration, API testing, and cloud-native SaaS platforms.
• Strong coding skills in C#, TypeScript, or Python and production-quality code.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests at integration and API layers for distributed services.
• Develop tests for asynchronous and event-driven workflows (messaging, retries, ordering, failure scenarios).
• Contribute production-quality code to shared automation frameworks and tooling.
• Design and execute performance and scalability tests for the SaaS platform.
• Create realistic test data and workload scripts reflecting real-world usage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable quality gates.
• Support validation in Staging as the primary integration and QA layer.
• Analyze test results to identify platform risks and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to plan targeted integration tests for upcoming changes.
