Job summary

StarCompliance is seeking a Platform Quality Engineer to join a centralized Quality Engineering function. You will design, implement, and maintain automated tests focused on integration and API layers across a distributed, cloud-native SaaS platform.

You will validate asynchronous and event-driven workflows, work with Azure Service Bus/Kafka-style integrations, and contribute to enterprise performance testing, ensuring reliability under load and during failures.

Qualifications

• Experience validating integration, non-functional characteristics, and release readiness across distributed systems.
• Strong coding skills in one or more of C#, TypeScript, or Python with production-quality code.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated tests at integration and API layers for distributed, cloud-native systems.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures and testing approaches for messaging, retries, and failure handling.
• Hands-on testing of event-driven systems using cloud messaging/integration tech (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, SNS/SQS).
• Proven ability to contribute to shared automation frameworks and quality tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests at integration and API layers across distributed services.
• Develop tests for asynchronous and event-driven workflows, including messaging and retries.
• Contribute production-quality code to shared automation frameworks and tooling.
• Design and execute performance and scalability tests for the enterprise SaaS platform.
• Create and maintain performance test data reflecting real-world usage patterns.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable quality gates.
• Support validation in staging environments as the platform integration and QA layer.
• Analyze test results to identify systemic risks and improvement opportunities.
