Job summary

HDI is seeking an experienced Property Claims professional in the UK to own a diverse portfolio from notification to settlement. You will assess coverage, interpret policy wordings and negotiate fair outcomes while supporting colleagues and working with Underwriting, Risk Management and other teams.

You will lead market meetings, manage external experts, and contribute to projects to improve team efficiency. Flexibility in working arrangements is welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex or high-value Property claims.
• Strong knowledge of policy interpretation and coverage analysis.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to coach colleagues and share expertise.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of technically complex Property claims from notification through to settlement.
• Assess cause of loss, determine policy coverage and identify information needed.
• Interpret underwriting docs to make clear, well-supported claims decisions.
• Investigate, negotiate and settle claims in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Establish accurate reserves to support exposure management.
• Build relationships with clients, brokers, loss adjusters and solicitors.
• Lead market meetings and support international programmes and exposures.
