Job summary

Henley Chase in Stockport is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a Major Projects division within a fast-growing subcontractor.

You will own a portfolio of around 10 live projects valued £1–£4 million and manage a delivery team, driving safety, quality, commercial performance and client relationships. This role offers direct access to senior leadership and a collaborative environment to shape project delivery and business growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading multiple construction projects valued £1m+.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience managing CVRs, budgets and profitability.
• Outstanding client-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Experience working for a specialist subcontractor or main contractor on major projects

Responsibilities

• Lead the Major Projects team across multiple live contracts.
• Take overall responsibility for project delivery from pre-construction through to completion.
• Manage project programmes, resources and client expectations.
• Monitor project profitability, budgets, CVRs and commercial performance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Work closely with commercial, pre-construction, procurement and operations teams.
• Support business growth through exceptional project delivery and repeat business.
• Drive continuous improvement across systems, reporting and project controls.
• Mentor and develop members of the delivery team.
• Maintain high standards of quality, health & safety and compliance.
